Empowering 412 Community with Modern Agricultural Practices

NutriHydro is proud to share the progress of two impactful projects: the construction of a greenhouse for Concentrix Manila and the establishment of a hydroponics system for Brgy. 412 Community. These initiatives highlight our commitment to innovation, fostering community development, and providing sustainable agricultural solutions.

Concentrix Greenhouse Project: A Streamlined Process (April 29 – May 3, 2024)

The Concentrix greenhouse project commenced efficiently on April 29, 2024, with the delivery of complete project documentation to their Makati office. Following a smooth handover, construction began on the 30th. Day one focused on assembling the greenhouse frame, with open communication ensuring optimal space allocation. The following days saw the installation of UV roofing, nets, and the meticulous setup of the NutriGrow NFT system, including channels, pumps, and reservoirs. By May 3rd, the project reached completion, with the finishing touches finalized.

Final Training and Turnover Ceremony (May 21 & 24, 2024)

On May 21st, a comprehensive hydroponics training session, led by our licensed agriculturist Ms. Angela, equipped Brgy. 412 Community members with the necessary skills to operate their new hydroponics system effectively. The interactive session covered essential topics like nutrient management, sunlight requirements, proper system maintenance, sowing, transplanting, pH/ppm monitoring, and nutrient solution preparation. Participants actively engaged in practical activities like transplanting and cocopeat sterilization, emphasizing the importance of sanitation throughout the growing process. The program concluded with an engaging Q&A session where community members actively participated, gaining valuable insights into operating the NFT system independently.

The official turnover and ribbon-cutting ceremony, held on May 24th, marked the culmination of the project. Attended by key stakeholders from Brgy. 412 Community, the Concentrix Team, and NutriHydro, the event featured inspiring speeches outlining the project’s goals and a shared commitment to a more sustainable future. Representatives from each organization then officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a celebratory photo session that captured the collaborative spirit of all involved.

Brgy. 412 Community: First Harvest Report (July 4, 2024)

The Brgy. 412 Community’s hydroponics journey reached a significant milestone in the first week of July 2024 with its inaugural harvest. This achievement comes after a period of dedicated training and seedling transplantation into the upgraded system in late May 2024. The community successfully harvested a substantial amount of fresh, high-quality lettuce (Olmetie and Estrosa) thanks to their hard work and collaboration. 

To ensure consistent yields and ongoing system optimization, Brgy. 412 Community plans to plant Estrosa seeds in July for an August harvest. NutriHydro remains committed to supporting them through every step of their hydroponics journey, adhering to industry best practices and fostering a sustainable partnership.
