This pioneering initiative demonstrates NutriHydro’s commitment to promoting hydroponics cultivation through comprehensive education and hands-on training. The Academy was launched with the aim of providing both aspiring and seasoned growers with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in modern farming.

January was a bustling period of preparation, dedicated to finalizing schedules, selecting instructive resources, and setting the stage for what would become a series of informative seminars. The momentum of NH Academy’s implementation carried into February with the conduct of its inaugural seminars at the NutriHydro Main Office. These events offered free of charge, served as a gateway for individuals eager to embark on their hydroponics journey. The Academy was honoured to welcome Mr. Arcie King and Engr. Cristina Ramirez-Padua served as the cultivation mentors for the initial seminars. These sessions covered essential topics for establishing a successful Kratky hydroponics system, including seed selection and germination, nutrient management, and harvest handling. Practical demonstrations provided participants with valuable hands-on experience to supplement their academic learning.

The educational journey continued into March with a training presented by Mr. Nathan Miguel, an expert in Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponics and grow lighting. Despite this being his first experience lecturing to a group, Mr. Miguel’s presentation on hydroponics considerations and horticulture lighting was both highly informative and well-received. NH Academy’s seminars have been marked by the exceptional performance of all mentors, regardless of their prior teaching experience. The enthusiasm and eagerness of the participants, even professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to attend, highlight the growing interest in hydroponics as a sustainable farming approach. The provision of a starter kit to participants of the paid registration seminar further facilitated the practical application of the knowledge gained.
